Hypromellose and Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium, both polymers, form a clear and colorless aqueous solution. This medication lubricates the eye's surface, similar to natural tears, providing relief for dryness and pain due to reduced or abnormal tear production. Hypromellose stabilizes and thickens the precorneal tear film, prolonging tear film breakup time and promoting corneal wetting. It also lubricates and protects the eye.

Common adverse effects may include blurred vision, matting, or stickiness of the eyelashes.

• May require long-term use.
• Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
• Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.
