How does Ecosprin 75mg Tablet work?

Ecosprin 75 is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet action. It prevents platelets from sticking together, reducing harmful blood clot formation.

GI disturbances, prolonged bleeding time, rhinitis, urticaria, epigastric discomfort, angioedema, salicylism, tinnitus, bronchospasm, Reye's syndrome, hepatotoxicity, CNS depression, CV collapse, respiratory failure.

Indication of Ecosprin 75mg Tablet

• Prophylaxis against Arterial Occlusive Events: Includes myocardial infarction, myocardial re-infarction, after bypass surgery, acute ischemic stroke/TIA.
• Mild to Moderate Pain: Including headache, muscle pain, dysmenorrhea, and toothache.
• Chronic Disease Accompanied by Pain and Inflammation: Specifically osteoarthritis.
• Antipyretic: Effective for reducing fever associated with cold and influenza.

Pharmacology

• Platelet Aggregation Inhibition: Ecosprin 75 mg reduces thrombus formation by decreasing platelet aggregation, particularly in the arterial circulation.

• Thrombotic Cerebrovascular or Cardiovascular Disease: 300 mg (1 tablet) or 75 mg (4 tablets) daily.
• After Myocardial Infarction: 75 mg (2 tablets) daily for 1 month.
• Following Bypass Surgery: 75 mg (1 tablet) daily.

Overdose Effects of Ecosprin 75mg Tablet 

• Symptoms include dizziness, tinnitus, sweating, nausea, vomiting, confusion, and hyperventilation.
• Severe cases may lead to central nervous system depression, cardiovascular collapse, and respiratory depression.

Interaction

• Interacts with anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents, phenytoin, sodium valproate, probenecid, and sulfonamides.
• May precipitate bronchospasm or induce asthma attacks.

Contraindications
